Located 34km from Collinsville, along Strathmore Road, is the historic Bowen River Hotel. The hotel was originally built in 1865 along the supply route to Central Western Queensland, providing much needed shelter on the banks of the Bowen River.
Today the Hotel remains preserved in time, with bar, dining rooms and small bedroom as they looked in the 1860s. Ghost stories are a plenty with many ghost-hunters enjoying evenings at the hotel uncovering it’s secrets.
